As NOVVES, we do not only produce fans, jet fans, smoke extraction fans or ventilation equipment; We develop engineering-based system solutions specific to each project. One of the most important steps of this approach is to numerically validate the design with CFD analysis before implementation into the field.

CFD, i.e. Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis; It enables three-dimensional examination of air flow, smoke dispersion, temperature change, CO concentration and fan effect in indoor parking lots, industrial facilities, technical volumes, tunnel-like structures and large closed areas.

NOVVES evaluates jet fan placement, exhaust fan capacity, fresh air organization, smoke evacuation scenarios and system performance on a project-specific basis with CFD analyses. Thus, engineering-based decisions are made for the correct number of fans, correct fan location, optimum energy use and safer evacuation conditions.

Methodology

Why CFD Analysis?

CFD analysis enables ventilation and smoke control systems to be evaluated based on actual project conditions, not just theoretical calculations.

01

System performance is seen before deployment to the field

Performance of fan systems; It is simulated by taking into account the project geometry, column placement, ramp positions, ceiling height, exhaust points and fresh air inlets.

02

Fire and smoke scenarios are tested in advance

It is analyzed in which direction the smoke will spread, in which areas it will concentrate, how it may affect escape routes and how jet fans will direct the smoke.

03

Critical variables are evaluated with engineering data

Parameters such as visibility, temperature rise, air velocity, CO density, smoke layer, dead zones and exhaust efficiency are examined numerically.

04

Regulation and safe evacuation goals are supported

CFD analysis; It contributes to more reliable project decisions in terms of smoke control design, parking garage ventilation, fire safety and evacuation scenarios.

verifiedConclusion

Correct placement, correct number of fans, optimum energy use and maximum security are targeted.

Scope of Analysis

Simulation Parameters

Velocity Analysis

Airspeed Distribution

The direction, speed and distribution of air flow within a closed space are modeled in three dimensions. It is analyzed whether sufficient air circulation is provided throughout the environment with the effect of jet fans.

temperature distribution

Temperature Change

It is evaluated how the ambient temperature changes at the human level, in the ceiling area and in critical escape routes during the fire scenario. By determining critical temperature zones, risks in terms of emergency safety are revealed.

Visibility Analysis

Visibility Assessment

It is analyzed how long visibility can be maintained on escape routes under dense smoke. The reduction in visibility is evaluated in terms of evacuation safety and fire department response.

CO Concentration

Carbon Monoxide Release

CO accumulation due to vehicle exhaust gas is modeled in areas such as closed parking lots. The change in CO concentration over time and how it is evacuated by the fan system is analyzed.

Smoke Propagation

Smoke Diffusion

The direction and speed of smoke spread after a fire, layer formation and how it is directed with the help of jet fans are simulated. The effectiveness of the exhaust points and the performance of the smoke control strategy are evaluated.

Jet Fan Impact

Jet Fan Effect

The effect of jet fans on air flow, their ability to reduce dead zones, their directing performance to exhaust fans and their contribution to air movement within the system are analyzed.

Air Balance

Exhaust and Fresh Air Balance

Exhaust fans, fresh air inlets, natural openings and mechanical supply systems are evaluated together. System balance, pressure differences and air renewal performance are examined.
